Bernal Heights · Cortland Ave · Family-owned seafood
A small blue storefront on Cortland where the crab is always fresh, the boil is built by the pound the way you want it, and Alia and Ramzy know your name by dessert.
Small room, big plates: shellfish cooked to order and hospitality that regulars write home about.
The boil
No oversized combos you can't finish. Pick your shellfish and the amount — a pound of snow crab, a half pound of headless shrimp — then choose your sauce and heat. Guests order cajun, extra spicy, and call the seasoning perfect: snow crab sweet and fresh, cooked to the point, shrimp still bouncy, corn soaking up the butter sauce at the bottom of the bag.
The room
A bright little dining room with set tables and a storefront window onto Cortland. Diners describe the space as small and unassuming — and then say the dishes coming out of the kitchen are anything but. It is family owned, and it shows: Alia and Ramzy listen, talk, and make everyone feel perfectly at home, which is why so many reviews are written about the service as much as the food.

“We discovered this place completely by chance—and we're so glad we did. The space is small and unassuming, but the dishes that come out of the kitchen are anything but. It has quickly become one of our favorite spots for seafood in San Francisco, especially for Dungeness crab, which is always incredibly fresh.”

“Such a cute little place and the food was soooo delicious! I love that I was able to customize the size of my seafood boil. I got 1lb of snow crab and 1/2lb of headless shrimp, cajun and extra spicy — the sauce had the perfect seasoning, the snow crab taste fresh and really sweet, cooked to perfection.”
